Solar park for sustainable energy
Zijderlaan Group is committed to sustainability. In 2019, we invested in 5,100 solar panels spread across two locations in Waspik. These solar fields generate 1.4 megawatts of energy annually. This allows us to operate our entire company self-sufficiently. This means that the entire production process, including most internal transport equipment, is powered by solar energy. Additionally, at times when more energy is generated than we consume, surrounding companies benefit from the surplus.
CO2-neutral with fossil-free fuel
Sustainability is a top priority for us, and we don’t just express it in words, but also in practice. We have converted all our non-electrified transport equipment to HVO100 fossil-free fuel. This transition results in an immediate CO2 reduction of 80 to 90%.
