Zijderlaan Bulk Trading specialises in high-quality biomass products with a focus on wood pellets as a vital biofuel. We supply various large customers and also offer packaged options for smaller quantities. We are additionally experienced in trading related energy products. Brothers Johan and Ad Zijderlaan purchase a waterfront property in Waspik, NL with the aim of storing and transshipping animal feed raw materials for third parties.
Introduction of biomass: cheap agricultural raw materials are transshipped for the Amer power plant in Geertruidenberg.
The biomass handling activities continue with a deep-water leased property set up in the Vlissingen port area to supply the Borssele power plant.
Establishment of Zijderlaan Handel Maatschappij, which now operates under the name Zijderlaan Bulk Trading.
Zijderlaan Retail Services is founded and followed by the installation of the first packaging line for cat litter.
A new 9,800 m² warehouse is put into use and the first bulk load of cat litter arrives by sea vessel.
